class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u4ee5\u4e0b\u306e\u6570\u5024\u306f\u3001\u672c\u8a18\u4e8b\u306e\u7591\u4f3c\u30c7\u30fc\u30bf\uff08\u7cfb\u5217C\uff09\u3068 <code>Nile<\/code> class=\"wp-block-heading\">Methods<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Stationarity of each time series was assessed using two complementary tests with opposite null hypotheses: the augmented Dickey\u2013Fuller (ADF) test, whose null hypothesis is the presence of a unit root, and the Kwiatkowski\u2013Phillips\u2013Schmidt\u2013Shin (KPSS) test, whose null hypothesis is stationarity. For series with a visible trend, both tests included a constant and a linear trend; otherwise, only a constant was included. The lag order of the ADF regression was selected by the Akaike information criterion (maximum of 4 lags), and the KPSS test used the short bandwidth, trunc(4(n\/100)^(1\/4)). A series was considered stationary when the ADF test rejected and the KPSS test did not reject their respective null hypotheses at the 5% significance level, and non-stationary when the reverse was observed. Series judged to be non-stationary were first-differenced and re-tested. When the results were inconclusive or a structural break was suspected on visual inspection, the possibility of a structural break was examined using the Zivot\u2013Andrews test. All analyses were performed in R version 4.6.1 using the tseries, urca, and forecast packages.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\uff08\u548c\u8a33\u306e\u8981\u70b9\uff1aADF\u3068KPSS\u306e2\u3064\u3092\u4f7f\u3063\u305f\u3053\u3068\u3001\u30c8\u30ec\u30f3\u30c9\u306e\u6709\u7121\u3067\u578b\u3092\u5909\u3048\u305f\u3053\u3068\u3001\u30e9\u30b0\u306e\u6c7a\u3081\u65b9\u3001\u5b9a\u5e38\u30fb\u975e\u5b9a\u5e38\u306e\u5224\u5b9a\u30eb\u30fc\u30eb\u3001\u975e\u5b9a\u5e38\u306a\u3089\u5dee\u5206\u3092\u53d6\u308b\u3053\u3068\u3001\u98df\u3044\u9055\u3063\u305f\u3068\u304d\u306fZivot\u2013Andrews\u691c\u5b9a\u3067\u69cb\u9020\u5909\u5316\u3092\u8abf\u3079\u305f\u3053\u3068\uff09<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Results<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The ADF test rejected the null hypothesis of a unit root (\u03c4 = \u22126.49; 5% critical value, \u22123.45), whereas the KPSS test did not reject the null hypothesis of trend stationarity (KPSS statistic = 0.125; 5% critical value, 0.146). The series was therefore considered trend-stationary, and no differencing was applied.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u69cb\u9020\u5909\u5316\u3092\u6271\u3063\u305f\u5834\u5408\u306e\u8a18\u8ff0\u4f8b\uff1a<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the annual flow series, the ADF test did not reject the unit root null hypothesis (P = 0.064), and the KPSS test rejected the null hypothesis of level stationarity (P &lt; 0.01). However, the Zivot\u2013Andrews test identified a structural break in the level in 1898 and rejected the unit root null hypothesis (test statistic = \u22126.18; 5% critical value, \u22124.80). When restricted to the post-break period (1899\u20131970), the series was stationary according to both tests (ADF, P &lt; 0.01; KPSS, P &gt; 0.10).<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u67fb\u8aad\u8005\u306b\u300c\u306a\u305c2\u3064\u306e\u691c\u5b9a\u3092\u4f7f\u3063\u305f\u306e\u304b\u300d\u3068\u805e\u304b\u308c\u305f\u3068\u304d\u306e\u4e00\u6587<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote a highly persistent stationary process, particularly in short series, we used the KPSS test as a confirmatory test with the reverse null hypothesis.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<hr
